His research topic focused on entrepreneurial alertness and business success. Brother Claiborne defended his dissertation to a committee in the Doctor of Business Administration Program. By God’s favor, Brother Claiborne was able to obtain the support from Grand Master Noel C. Osborne, Sr. (Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland and its
Jurisdictions, Inc.), Grand Worthy Matron Carmen Kearney (Myra Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star Prince Hall Affiliated), National Commander Antoinette Rainey (the National Society of Pershing Angels Sorority, Inc.), President John E. White (Sigma Sigma Sigma Alumni Chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.), leaders, family, and friends. Through this support, Brother Claiborne was able to gather enough data to conduct statistical analysis of over 160 Black community leaders.
