Chapter Committees
The Standing Committees of the Chapter are the Programming Committee, the Membership Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Collegiate Affairs Committee and the Training and Fellowship Committee, in addition to the programming committees of Bigger and Better Business, Education, and Social Action. The membership of these committees shall be constituted by the second meeting of the year.
Special Committees of the Chapter shall include, but is not limited to, the Law and Revision Committee, the Election Committee, the Disciplinary Review Committee, and any specific program planning committees.
All committees shall be expected to report regularly on the work under their charge, as well as provide any necessary recommendations, resolutions, or other business for the Chapter to operate.
Programming Standing Committees
Social Action Committee
Responsible for the implementation and execution of Social Action programming, initiatives, and other events as defined within by the Fraternity and the Region. This committee leads implementation of prioritized Social Action programs adopted by the Chapter. The Chapter’s Director of Social Action serves as chair and lead of the Social Action Committee.
Economic Development Committee- Bigger and Better Business
Responsible for leading implementation and execution of Economic Development programing, initiatives as defined by the Fraternity and the Region. This committee leads implementation of prioritized economic development programs adopted by the Chapter. The Chapter’s Director of Bigger & Better Business serves as chair and lead of Bigger & Better Business – Economic Development Committee.
Education- Scholarship Committee and Scholastic Achievement
Responsible for leading implementation and execution of Education and Scholarship programming, initiatives as defined by the Fraternity and the Region. This committee leads the implementation of prioritized Education programs adopted by the Chapter. This committee leads implementation of prioritized Education programs adopted by Chapter. The Chapter’s Director of Education serves as chair and lead of the Education-Scholarship Committee.
Program & Community Initiatives Committee
Responsible for the coordination and management of the program committees. This committee consist of all Program Chairs and led by the First Vice President. This committee is responsible to ensure alignment and synergy in overall chapter program implementation inclusive of management of annual calendar of events.
Membership Engagement Committee
This committee and team are responsible for coordination and management of membership activities: Retention, Driving Membership Growth and Membership Intake Process. This committee is led by Second Vice President. This committee also coordinates social engagement activities for the Chapter including special
Finance Committee
Responsible for all monies received by the Chapter, keeping complete, accurate records thereof and ensuring that all receipts correctly are attributed thereto. Responsible for leading and coordinating annual budget. This committee is led by the Chapter Treasurer.
Chapter History and Archives Committee
Responsible for maintaining a record of Chapter program and initiative history and shall work with the Director of Publicity and Marketing, Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary to find and maintain a means of preserving Chapter accomplishments.
Conclave & Regional Conference Delegation Planning Team
Responsible for the planning and reporting of Conclave/Regional meetings including actionable items for the Chapter, coordinating, and scheduling caucuses, relaying needed information to the chapter.
Health & Wellness Committee-Implementation of Sigma Wellness & Focused on Men’s Health
Responsible for educating Fraternity members on health issues affecting them and families. Promoting health awareness in an effort to prevent health challenges amongst our membership.
Creating awareness of disparities in health and well-being in our communities
Special Events Committee
This Committee/Team is responsible for coordinating the Chapters Annual Key Signature Events
Examples: The Black Party, Juneteenth Celebration, Kwanzaa Event, Sip For Scholarships, Sigma Derby, etc.
Law and Revision Committee
Responsible for the annual review of amendments to the Chapter Bylaws, and Rules of Procedure of the Chapter.
Elections Committee
Shall administer the elections of the Chapter for elected Chapter offices and delegates to necessary meetings.

STANDING COMMITEES, TEAMS & WORK STREAMS
Sigma Beta Club Youth Initiative Coordinating Team
This committee/team consist of Sigma Beta Club Advisors and Chapter volunteers certified to work with Sigma Beta Club members and parents. This committee is responsible for managing, advising all of Sigma Beta Club Activities. This committee ensures effective programing as mandated by the National Sigma Beta Club Foundation, The Fraternity and Region. This committee is led by the Chapter President appointee – Director of Sigma Beta Club.
Communications, Branding & Marketing Committee
Members of this committee/team is responsible for implementation of the Chapter’s Communications, Branding and Marketing Plan. Responsible for production of Chapter Newsletters, managing chapter social media platforms and website. Members of Committee is led by Chapter President Appointee – Communications & Marketing Manager with other appointed members.
NPHC Montgomery County
Representing officer on behalf of the Sigma Sigma Chapter and serve as a liaison between NPHC-MCMD and the Chapter
Collegiate Affairs Committee
This committee consist of all collegiate advisors of Sigma Sigma Sigma Chapter. This committee will report out monthly through maximizing synergy among all chapters advised by Sigma Sigma Sigma Chapter. All advisors are appointed by the Chapter President and Approved by Regional Director or designee. We need brothers to serve as co-advisors as well as served on Collegiate Affairs Team.
