Juneteenth

Celebration of JUNETEENTH!

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Sigma Sigma Sigma Chapter, in partnership with Mr. Braxton’s Bar & Kitchen hosted a phenomenal Juneteenth Celebration! Proceeds from this event benefitted the Taylor Morse Brown Foundation’s John Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship. Juneteenth, an annual remembrance of the end of slavery in the United States following the Civil War, has been celebrated by African Americans since the late 1800s. The evening consisted of networking, music by DJ DC, cash bar, light fare and a true reflection of our ancestors who fought and paved the way for our freedom.

By the numbers:
Over $3,500 Spent at Mr. Braxton’s Bar & Kitchen Supporting our Black Spend Initiative

$1,545 raised to support Taylor, Morse, and Brown Scholarships

Over 100 in attendance and exceeded our goals for Brothers in Attendance
