During the recent General Assembly, WDC identified and supported over 40 bills. Appreciation went to the WDC advocacy groups for their hard work promoting these bills and to the Maryland Women’s Caucus for its successful session. Del. Lesley Lopez, the Chair of the Caucus, familiarized the crowd with the 2023 legislative achievements and called upon other delegates from the Caucus to explain their bills. Not only did your Montgomery County delegates attend; there were members from Howard, Prince George’s and Baltimore, as well as officials from the Montgomery County Council and the Rockville City Council!
